Search Engine Optimization Web Marketing Specialists

Web Site Submission | Directory Submission

Do I pay for a Yahoo listing or try for a free one?
Should I use a FFA site to submit?  (the answer is NEVER!)
How do I get into Google?
What is the Open Directory?

These are some of the questions associated with web site submissions to the search engines.  Things change all of the time; search engine marketing is a moving target and that is why you need an experienced team that keeps up with the search engine market.

We will mange your submissions to search engines, directories, and specialty portals, all of which make up a good web submission routine.

Regarding Yahoo, we recommend paying in most cases to be included, especially if you are launching a new site.  It will be featured as a new site, but it will also kick things off quicker and list you in the directory as opposed to just listing you in the “spidered” search database.

What is an FFA site?  It is a “Free For All” site promoted by “wanna-be” search marketers.  If you ever hear of anyone offering to send you “thousands of visitors to your website”, or “submitting your site to thousands of search engines”, RUN!  These sites are used mostly by “get rich quick” business promoters, and will not generate any valid traffic.  Ok, maybe a little, but nothing in comparison to the spam it will generate.

How do you get into Google?  That is simple.  Go to Google, and submit your site.  The real question is “How do I GET TRAFFIC from Google?”  This is where you need a specialist.  Google ranks sites using its own ranking algorithm, and it is heavily weighted on the amount of incoming links from other relevant sites.  The answer to the question is to have a well optimized site, with strong relevant content, AND links to your site from other (reputable) sites; ideally those that already have a positive Google Page Rank.

What is the Open Directory?  This is a directory that feeds other web sites such as Google’s Directory, MSN, and several other sites.  It used to be a critical component of a good web site submission strategy, but it is mismanaged and has become all but disregarded by search marketing professionals (to the shame of AOL, it's parent company).
